About the Siberian
The Siberian is Russia's national cat and one of the oldest natural longhair breeds in the world. Its dense triple coat evolved to survive Siberian winters, yet it copes remarkably well with Gulf life when kept in cooled indoor spaces. Siberians are muscular, agile, and famously playful — they chase, leap, and greet visitors at the door like a small dog. They are also unusually social, forming close bonds with children and other pets. Many owners with mild cat allergies find Siberians easier to live with, as the breed produces less Fel d 1 protein than average. Grooming is straightforward: a full brush twice a week, more during seasonal shed.
